The Granite State Rail Trail is a major rail trail initiative which spans much of Southern New Hampshire. When completed, the route aims to span from Lebanon to Salem. Today, the longest section completed trail is 57 miles of contiguous rail trail from Lebanon to Boscawen.
In many ways, the City of Manchester obstacles to rail-with-trail have formed the major missing link of the Granite State Rail Trail. With much of the rest of the route completed, the value of completing this connection through our city becomes more and more apparent.
