This trail points west and connects downtown to West Manchester, Goffstown, and New Boston.
Rockingham Recreational Rail Trail
Miles: 28.1 miles (1.6 miles to be developed)
This trail points east and when completed will allow pedestrians and bikes to travel from downtown Manchester all the way to Newmarket, NH.
South Manchester Rail Trail
Miles: 1.2 miles (3.6 miles to be developed in 2022)
This trail points south east and is parallel to South Willow Street. When complete (2022) this trail will connect downtown Manchester to Boston/Manchester Regional Airport and Londonderry. This trail is currently paved from South Beech Street to Gold Street and has narrow unimproved paths to the north and south. The South Manchester trail is a segment of the Granite state trail.
Heritage Trail- North
Miles: 1.9
The Heritage Trail- North is a recently refurbished nature trail adjacent the Merrimack River. Located just a mile north of downtown Manchester.
Heritage Trail- Downtown
Miles: 1.1 (8.4 miles to be developed with Rail with Trail connecting to Hooksett in the North and Bedford in the South)
The Heritage Trail- Downtown is an urban trail adjacent the Merrimack River and Arms Park. The trail continues south at the Fisher Cat Stadium along the River to Sundial Ave. South of Sundial Avenue the trail continues via a quiet neighborhood street, Riverdale Ave.
Granite State Rail Trail
Miles: 80.2 miles (40 miles to be developed)
The Granite State Rail Trail is the Statewide Rail Trail that connects Massachusetts to Vermont. The Trail starts in Lebanon and ends in Salem with large completed sections at either end. The “Big Gap” in the trail is a 30-mile section from Manchester to Concord.
